Directed by Joyce Sherman, youth are actively engaged in classroom simulated pilot training with an introduction to the interest in aviation career areas. Students gain an opportunity to enter vocational training and colleges with some advanced training and knowledge in aviation career areas.

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with expanding our youth aviation program. Especially certified volunteer pilots of small aircraft, Drones, and owners of private aircraft.

One of our goals for this year 2022 is to raise a minimum of $200,000 for the pilot certification training of ten disadvantaged students. We are looking forward to getting back to giving students the opportunity to co-pilot small planes during actual flights. In the past, Private pilots donated their planes, time, fuel, and all resources needed to make this program a success for participating eligible youth.

The youth pilot training program has afforded several students the opportunity to fly solo and test for their pilot’s certification.

Students interested in the Youth Aviation program must become a member of the chapter by completing the student membership application. Information is available by contacting via email.
