Home > YOUTH AVIATION

Directed by Colonel Thomas Sherman, youth are actively engaged in class room simulated pilot training during the Aerospace Museum Summer Camp program and introduction to their interest in aviation career areas. Students gain an opportunity to enter college with some vocational training and knowledge in the aviation career areas.

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with expanding our aviation program. Especially pilots and owners of private aircraft. All resources are appreciated and accepted.

Public support will be a driving focus in raising the additional funds needed to meet our established programs and goals.

It is important that we raise the needed funds to improve our continued success and growth realized over the past couple of years. The Annual McClellan Fly-in is one of our most successful events. Each year students get the opportunity to co-pilot small planes during actual flight. Private pilots donate their planes, time, fuel and all resources needed to make this program a success for participating eligible youth.
